1.
I don't want to bring you anything That costs me nothing You and you alone I will worship And only to you, will I sing I'll life my hands And quiet the noise And center my life at the sound of your voice For you are here The King is here You have taken our broken lives Made us new Sanctified in your sight Resurrected these dead bones filled anew You brought us back to life
2.
The Redwoods 03:36
Come away with me to the redwoods We can drive up the coast this time Let's get lost up in the redwoods See what adventure we can find We can build our house in the tree branches Let's go we'll run where there are no fences We can sleep, we can dream where our breath freezes Up where the sky and ground embraces Come away with me to the redwoods We can drive up the coast this time Let's get lost up in the redwoods See what adventure we can find We can look at the stars up from from our perches And sing, sing to God, we'll lift our praises Till the night, goes down, and the sun rises And all you can hear will be our voices Come away with me to the redwoods We can drive up the coast this time Let's get lost up in the redwoods See what adventure we can find We can build our house in the tree branches Let's go we'll run where there are no fences We can sleep, we can dream where our breath freezes Up where the sky and ground embraces credits

You got knocked down So What? Get up! Breathe in, breathe out You don't give up Step up to the plate It's now your cue The only way out now is through I can't go back I'm to far down this road If I stop, I will drown
4.
Sting 04:00
I know, I know I know You're better I know, I know I know You're better I know you've found peace in the arms Of your Savior But it doesn't take the sting Out of missing you I know, I know I know You're better I know, I know I know You're better I know you've found peace in the arms Of your Savior We're waiting, waiting, waiting Till we see you again We're waiting, waiting, waiting Till we see you again And it helps take the sting Out of missing you I know, I know I know You're better I know, I know I know You're better I know you've found peace in the arms Of your Savior I know, I'll see you again And that, Takes the sting Out of missing you

The Layover 03:51
I was settling in The voice on the intercom said Seats up, tray tables in It's time to de-board the plane I picked up my things Turned and said my goodbyes And got hit with Some ice cold wind Just as I walked by I know I'm on my way But I'm not moving forward I'm stuck in the airport Wondering when will my plane arrive It's a layover in Denver
6.
You're In It 04:12
This hit me like a Mack truck Now I'm falling down from the place I was struck Landed in muck and now my feat are stuck After all these years I'm out of luck Oh God I know you're in it Oh God I know you're in it But it's hard to see the path in front of me When my eyes are clouded in tears On a scale of one to awful This was awfully close To knocking me down for the count A fatal dose Struggling fighting, living in my bed clothes Wonderful author I need you close Oh God I know you're in it Oh God I know you're in it But it's hard to see the path in front of me When my eyes are clouded in tears I found myself in the valley of shadow Don't know what's up or where to go You're there whispering softly "Son it's time to go" "Pick up your feet I'll show them where to roam" Oh God I know you're in it Oh God I know you're in it But it's hard to see the path in front of me When my eyes are clouded in tears

My mama said son, be a blessing not a cursing To those you serve, and those who are hurting You will go far, you can reach for the stars Don't forget who you are, and who. you come from Your Roots Run Deep Your Roots Run Deep My father said son, remember what I taught you These lessons I've shown you, they are not new Passed down through, revived in you anew Don't forget who you are, or who you come from Your Roots Run Deep Your Roots Run Deep I'm telling you child, unborn son or daughter All of the cash in the world I'd barter So you can go far, you can reach for the stars Don't forget who you are, and who you come from Your Roots Run Deep Your Roots Run Deep

In the Deep 03:26
Hat in my hand Watch my heart bleed down my sleeve Taking chances Quest to find that inner peace Breaking my feet Run from a mind that torments me Lost my way Wading out here in the deep No reflections Hallow eyes murder me What have I done Hands run crimson like the sea Over my head Water clawing into me Asphyxiate I guess I'm drowning in the deep
9.
Awaken Me 03:26
Be quiet my soul, lay me down tonight Rest in your strength, and abide in your love Died for my sins Lord, you bled for my pride Rest in your strength, and abide in your love Strength when I am weary Peace when I am worried Master provider My all in all You're alive, you're alive You're alive in me God you reign, God you reign God you reign in me Take this heart make it new And make me whole again Take these eyes make them see Awaken me again I will draw near to you, as you draw to me Wrap me in your love and saturate my heart Silence my mind Lord, remake all my doubts Wrap me in your love and saturate my heart Strength when I am weary Peace when I am worried Master provider My all in all You're alive, you're alive You're alive in me God you reign, God you reign God you reign in me Take this heart make it new And make me whole again Take these eyes make them see Awaken me again

Going Home 03:57

about

In November 2016 I was laid off from my job. It was a challenging time that left me reeling and in an odd place. On the one hand I knew that God was in it, that it was part of his plan. On the other hand, I was going "what the heck happened to me?" For the three months I was unemployed I lived in that tension.

These songs are the result of all that time off.

The name comes from the idea that a layover on a flight is this weird place where you are technically traveling, but you aren't actively moving forward to your destination.

This season was a layover, I knew that God had something great for me and I was technically traveling towards it, but I wasn't making forward progress.

I hope you enjoy this album!
